Rules of Thumb Let's See What We Have Here
With Eric’s rules of thumb, of you can improve your signal integrity engineering expertise in 5 minutes or less!

Rules of thumb are designed to get you a “fairly good” answer NOW instead of a “great” answer when it may be too late to be useful. Because they are so simple to use, rules of thumb should be the first tool wielded by every engineer when tackling any problem.  While you never want to sign off on a design based on rules of thumb results, learning to skillfully and flexibly apply them can save you time and effort. They can also help you answer "what if" questions early in the design phase and keep you pointed in the right direction.
